Mr. Alexander Khachaturyan is the advisor of  Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.

He is also the Director of the Center for Strategic Initiatives in the Armenian Government.

The objectives of the Strategic Initiatives Center are to promote key reforms, contribute to export growth and attract long-term foreign investment.

The guest of honor: OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) with Ambassador Argo AVAKOV, Head of Office.

The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic, environmental and human aspects. It has 57 members (states) who have equal status. The objectives of the OSCE are to promote dialogue, the exchange of experiences or to provide advice through concrete and practical studies.

The OSCE works closely with governments and businesses. She studies local regulations, laws to provide a better experience and introduce better practices.

The areas of intervention of the OSCE are very broad:

During the meeting the following topics were discussed:

• OSCE involvement in the development of a new tax law

• Study of the Armenian market for the establishment of pharmaceutical manufacturers.

• A practical step-by-step guide for investors in Armenia

• As the OSCE also has a political-military dimension, one of the aspects is border management. Therefore, Armenia being the only door for Iran in the Eurasian Economic Union and also the neighboring state, the city of Meghri was mentioned, which is located in the province of Syunik, near the border with Iran. 'Iran. The OSCE has conducted a study to provide more information on customs arrangements. In addition, many improvements should be made to the management of the border with Georgia.

• The topic of violence against women was mentioned in order to create shelters for these women.

• The topic of corruption has been discussed. As the OSCE works closely with the government, the idea is to make laws clearer and simpler to avoid corruption. People should be more informed about their rights.
